Route Delivery Driver

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday

• 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

• No overnight travel required

Position Overview:

• Highly active role ideal for individuals who enjoy physical work and staying busy

• Deliver 50 lb. bags of salt and bottled water to residential and commercial customers

• Operate a beverage body style truck

• Use a delivery cart when needed to assist with deliveries

• Load and unload truck daily with the aid of a forklift

• Record all route transactions using an electronic tablet

• Complete end-of-day paperwork and electronic data transfers

• Provide excellent customer service while assessing and fulfilling customer needs

Knowledge and Skills:

• Clean driving record

• Strong customer service skills

• Ability to read maps and accurately plan routes

• Accuracy and attention to detail

• Professional demeanor

• Ability to handle difficult customers with diplomacy and tact

• Ability to follow written instructions and documented procedures

• Ability to recognize and understand product numbers and alphanumeric codes

• Working knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) rules and regulations

• Effective listening, verbal, and written communication skills

• Ability to pass a drug screen, background check, and pre-employment physical screening

• Iowa residents must possess a chauffeur’s license
